Actually, for future watches, I wonder if you could use smartwatches’ screen protectors? Might be a good idea considering how much hands on work you do.
Not a bad idea, but I’m not really sure I need it. Theyre actually pretty durable crystals, both of them on my Eco-Drives are what they call “saphire”, an actual crystal lens. A manufactured “artificial” crystal, but much harder than glass. I’ve yet to scratch either of the watches I wear the most to work in, in about 4 and 6 years of wear… Nothing noticeable anyway. I assume the scratch you mentioned is the big deep one on my chronograph? I managed to do that in the first 3 or 4 weeks I had it. That was fall of 2011, and I’ve yet to put another mark on it since. No idea what happened to do that one either.
Looks like it’s time to replace the glass on your ecodrive! 😀
