    Actually, for future watches, I wonder if you could use smartwatches’ screen protectors? Might be a good idea considering how much hands on work you do.

    • Not a bad idea, but I’m not really sure I need it. Theyre actually pretty durable crystals, both of them on my Eco-Drives are what they call “saphire”, an actual crystal lens. A manufactured “artificial” crystal, but much harder than glass. I’ve yet to scratch either of the watches I wear the most to work in, in about 4 and 6 years of wear… Nothing noticeable anyway. I assume the scratch you mentioned is the big deep one on my chronograph? I managed to do that in the first 3 or 4 weeks I had it. That was fall of 2011, and I’ve yet to put another mark on it since. No idea what happened to do that one either.
