Rubber band for the Field Note didn’t work out, every time you draw the book from your pocket it twists the snot out of the band… Yes the bad is usually comming off that that point anyway, but it makes doing it fiddly, and a pain if it pulls the band all the way off on its own.

Yeah, I can see how the band would “stick” in your pocket, making it twist up. That would be a pain. Perhaps you could try some string?
Hmm. I think string would be even more fiddly… Honestly, I don’t really need anything to keep them closed in pocket, it was more of “why not” since they offer the bands and they’re cheap. I figured if it didn’t work, I could always find some Mcgyver-ish use for the bands 😉
