The first week of October brought us about 14” of WET snow, that brought down trees, and power lines, and an outage that lasted about 5 days to the end. We were out for 3 days.
Some of that snow.
All I saw for the first evening; 😉
And, the second evening, we got out of the house to town that had power;
I had to run to town each of the three days… and several before and after… The carry there of for all of those days;
Plus my headlamp… I never seem to remember it for pictures, but I have it on me any time I leave the house in the winter, and especially in “emergency” times.
Knives used durring the outage;
Knives carried durring the outage;
The difference being the Case Cheetah, used as a steak and eating knife at home, but not taken anywhere.
At home carry for those days, regaurdless of power off, or generator power on… Even with the gneerator running, most of the housse was pitch black, since I’m not setup (yet) to power the whole house.
One evening more active, I forget doing what, but having a blade on me even at home was needed.
And a flashlight…. 😉 always need those!
