Back country…

A trail I can’t get through;

That trench makes a full C, crossing the trail twice, the near end under the boards(that are there to cover runts and wash out to begin with) and the far end, just Past the boards, and at that point its about 5 or more feet deep, and At least that much wide… No way I could cross it on the wheeler.  I don’t know exactly what its like under the boards, but I would guess that right now that selction in the center is an island with trench all around it. That sareal is also visibly starting to cloolaps to the left, into the trench…

Someone will have to put some work into this soon, its a dog mushing/snowmobile trail in the winter… We don’t get enough snow at once to fill and smooth over trenches like that for dog teams, let alone snowmobiles. Gonna be dangerous to say the least. (glad I found it now instead of two months and three feet of snow from now!)

Really like this spot;

That lone birch with no branches till near the top, so tall and straight is gorgeous!

Some of those shots are close to homes, within a half mile. Some others are 11 miles into the back woods, and 4 or 5 miles from anything, or anyone.  That tree and small clearing for instance is at the end of about 10 miles of trail, and 50 yards from an old logging road. But arond 3 miles as the crow flies, and 4.5 miles by that road from a house or the highway..

    That lone birch IS beautiful. It’s like something from a fairy tale (sorry, probably a girly perspective!) I could totally paint that and have such a good time. All it needs is a little running brook… Ha ha, now I’m thinking of that opening to sound of music. Did you do any singing on your fourwheeler? πŸ˜‰

    Nice trench! I suggest a ramp and jump it DoH style! πŸ™‚

    • Back in the day…. yeah, I would’ve been posting pics of the ramp, and video of the jump to begin with πŸ˜‰

      Now; “I’m getting too old for this” comes to mind… πŸ˜‰
